These 3–4 page medical-legal documents are used by emergency departments, hospitalists, and other treating physicians for high-risk endocrine conditions such as Addison’s disease and Cushing’s syndrome.

Because these letters function as clinical safety instruments, require significant medical judgment, and must be updated as new evidence emerges, they carry higher complexity and liability than standard administrative forms.
Inpatient Adrenal Consults
When hospitalized patients or their families request that we consult with hospital teams, it is often because adrenal-trained endocrinologists are no longer routinely available in most hospitals. These situations can be urgent and high-risk, requiring rapid assessment, chart review, and direct communication with inpatient clinicians.

Standard Inpatient Consult (Business Hours) — $500.00 For non-urgent consults requiring chart review, communication with the hospital team, and formal recommendations.

After-Hours / Urgent Inpatient Consult — $800.00 For urgent, same-day, or after-hours situations where immediate guidance is needed to prevent adrenal crisis or stabilize a complex endocrine condition.
